June 30, Panchkula: On Friday, a meeting of the Sanitation Committee was held in the presence of Mayor Sh. Kulbhushan Goyal and the ownership of Corporation Commissioner IAS Mr. Sachin Gupta. Joint Commissioner Dr. Richa Rathi, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Apoorva Chaudhary, Committee Member Councilor Rakesh Valmiki, Paramjit Kaur, Usha Rani, Rajesh Nishad, XEN Sumit Malik, Chief Sanitary Inspector Avinash Singla were also present.
The Mayor said that in the meeting, the first issue of all the big dustbins in Panchkula has come and the issue arose, on which the authorities told the mayor that 140 new dustbins have been installed in Panchkula city and close to 60 We have an old dustbin and take 200 dustbin a daily door -to -door contractor Jhuriwala. Along with this, the officials also told that there are some dustbins which are not in a position to work, all those dustbins have been asked to dispose off and make their auction. After this, the next issue was raised about the mobile toilet, on which the authorities told the mayor that the 10 new mobile toilets were bought and the sets of 10 mobile toilets were already with us. Mobile toilets which are required in city, jhuggi, colony or programs, they are made available there. Apart from this, the authorities also said that the 6 seater that have two set mobile toilets are bad, they have also been asked to dispose off and auction them. After this, there was a deep view of the door to door garbage collection in the meeting, on which the councilor Usha Rani raised the issue of not going to the vehicle in the colony, on which it was decided that wherever the small rehddi can go there rehddi should be send and will pick up the garbage so that garbage can be lifted properly from the colonies too. The mayor said that in the meeting, officials told that most of the people are giving wet and dry garbage, on which the corporation urged the people to separate the wet and dry garbage so that cleanliness can be improved further. After this, there was talk of setting up a plant to convert CNG gas from wet garbage in the meeting, on which it was decided that this plant should be set up on 2 acres of land in the center of village Khatoli, Jalloli and Alipur, where the population is low and its consultant should also be appointed. CNG gas made from the plant will be given to the nearby village. The Mayor said that the expression of interest calls have been asked to set up a 150 tonn plant. The Mayor said that in the meeting, the RDF that was left in the last year was asked to clear immediately because if the old RDF clear then only the new Legasy waste work which has been allotted will be facilitated in starting.
The mayor said that in the meeting attendance of tractor trolley, gardener, electrician and cleaning workers, it was also considered, on which the Commissioner suggested that an app has been made by the IDFC, their attendance will now be mark through that app. The mayor said that the officials have sought 1 week time to start the app. The mayor said that the contract was made to keep mobile toilets clean of markets and other places, now it was decided that the expression of interest should be taken out on the lines of other cities such as Delhi and Chandigarh. And tenders should be given on advertisement rights so that new types of toilets can be made correctly. Along with this, issue was raise to change the toilets at the round abouts which have become quite old, the decision has been taken to change them. In the meeting the mayor said that toilets are not present at some places and in view of this, it was suggested by councilors to make toilets at a new place and it was decided that toilets will be made in Old Panchkula, Majri Chok, Ramgarh, Industrial Area Phase 1 and In the places where the rest will be needed, new toilet blocks will be built as per the requirement so that people can get the facility of toilets.
The Mayor said that the issue of providing the sitting of the cleaning workers also arose in the meeting, on which it was decided that new POTA Kewen should be purchased through the tender. The mayor said that 10 to 15 POTA Kaven will be needed further. Currently, 12 POTA Caven is with the Corporation. After this, in the meeting there was also talk of the corporation's having less Safai Karamchari, on which it was decided that 100 Safai Karamchari should be taken immediately from Haryana Kaushal Rojgar Nigam. After this, the winter and summer dress of the sanitation workers were also considered in the meeting.
